Born and raised in scenic Minnesota, Edna Curry often sets her novels there among the lakes, evergreens and river valleys. She especially enjoys the Dalles area of the St. Croix Valley, gateway to the Wild River, which draws many tourists who give her story ideas. She has also published children's stories and articles in national magazines.  She has published six romance and romantic suspense novels to date in both electronic and paperback editions. Five more novels will be out in 2010.

Edna is a member of thee chapter of the Romance Writers of America. Circle of Shadows was a finalist in RWA's prestigious Golden Heart Contest.

 Thanks for visiting my website

I'm very excited about having five new novels coming out in 2010. Watch my site for release dates and details.

They are: "Never Love a Logger." A historical romance set against the background of the big log jam pictured on my home page. Life in the logging days with lots of detail about the lives of people during that time.

What happens when a rough and ready logger who wants no responsibility and thinks he doesn’t deserve a second chance at love falls for an attractive prim and proper lady with a ready made family?

Will and Carrie think there is no chance for them to have a family of their own.  Each has reasons to avoid love and entanglements.  Will is burned out on responsibility after helping his widowed mother raise his siblings. He turned away from God when his wife and infant son died.  Carrie thinks no man will want her and her brother.  She promised her father she’d raise her brother and while she’s attracted to Will, duty comes first.

Then the greatest logjam in the world throws them together for six weeks. Will is staying at the boarding house where she works while he and many others try to break up the logjam.

Two of my articles about this time have been reprinted as Amazon Shorts. Details on my home page.

"Dead in Bed" is a cozy mystery story, also set in the St. Croix river valley, but in the present day. Lacey, the PI  featured in "Dead Man's Image" is back. She gets into all kinds of interesting situations as she tries to prove her client innocent of murdering his wife. Lacey is struggling to make a go of her business. Most of her clients want her to find proof of their spouses’ infidelity. Now she’s asked to solve a murder case that turns out to be very dangerous. Will this case help her save her business or cost her life?

"Best Friends"  is a contemporary romance. Two high school sweethearts meet again as they plan their tenth reunion. They have to deal with bitter feelings from their breakup in the past and reconcile their differences. She has an important city job. He loves his small town business and wants to raise his son there. A tornado literally tears apart their little hometown. Can they pick up the pieces of their love as easily as the tornado debris?

"Bear Trap"

Former military specialist Mel Jonner has seen too much violence and now wants only to pursue a peaceful life as a small town businessman. Then he sees a woman pushed into a raging river and rushes to help rescue her. Mel doesn’t want to get involved, but finds himself fascinated by this woman. He offers her refuge and falls in love as he tries to help her discover the secrets of her past.

‘Jane Doe’ survives the fall into the river and wakes up in an attractive stranger’s cabin, bloody and battered. The attractive young woman has no idea who she is or why anyone would want to kill her. The sheriff says someone tried to kill her and may try again. Why do they want her dead? Where can she hide? Who does she dare to trust to stay alive until she can regain her memory, figure out what’s going on and get her life back?

Secret Daddy

What would happen if a confirmed bachelor twin agrees to secretly donate sperm so his sterile brother can give his wife a baby, then his brother and wife die, leaving the baby an orphan?  Sparks fly, that's what, when he finds he can't even claim his baby by DNA, and loses it to adoption.

Then he gets a second chance to at least be near the baby, only his son's new mother is wildly attractive.  Falling in love was not on his agenda because he's not a marrying man.

Chisago County has three lovely new libraries this year. They even have meeting rooms that our writing group can use for our monthly get-togethers. What a great addition to our area!

I'm enjoying Amazon's new electronic reader, the Kindle. What a nice new toy! Get on the internet anywhere, anytime! Download a sample of a book in seconds. I'm always wanting to try a new author, but am afraid I might not like their style. With this, I can try a free sample chapter first. Of course, by then I'm usually hooked. And it's way too easy to buy the rest of the book with one little click of the Kindle's cursor. And seconds later, I'm reading the rest of the book. What a great thing! I love it. Read all about it at

www.amazon.com

I'm reading lots of books on it. It's just too easy to download them.

I love to hear from my readers.  Or visit my blog at: http://ednacurry.blogspot.com
