Hershey Brownies
1 stick (1/2 c.)
margarine 1 cup sugar
4
eggs 1 16 can Hershey’s
chocolate syrup
1 cup
flour 1/2 cup choped nuts, if desired
Cream
together shortening and sugar, add eggs and chocolte, mix well.
Stir in flour.
Pour onto greased 10x 16 inch brownie pan. Bake at 350* for
25-30 minutes.

Your Choice Salad Mold
Heat 2 cups of water to
boiling and dissolve a 6 oz package of fruit-
flavored Jello. Chill
until slightly thick, then add an 8 oz can undrained pineapple and 1 cup sour
or cottage cheese. Pour into 1 1/2 quart mold; chill. For added flavor and
texture, 1 cup or less or mandarin oranges, grapefruit sections, or red and
green grapes can be added.
Crushed pineapple mixed
with 2 tbsp. brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg is excellent as a
topping.

Quick Cinnamon Rolls
2 loaves Rhodes frozen sweet dough
cinnamon, butter, sugar.
Thaw bread dough thoroughly. Roll out on floured pastry
cloth into square. Spread lightly with soft butter, sprinkle generously with
cinnamon and sugar. Cut in half, lengthwise, roll up like a jelly roll.
Pinch end closed, and cut into 12 slices. Put in greased
9x13 inch pan and repeat for other half of dough. Let rise until light, bake at
350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen rolls.
May be frosted with powdered sugar glaze:
2 Tbsp. butter, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups powdered sugar and
just enough milk to make into thin frosting.
Sweet-sour Sauce
2 T. butter ¼ c. brown
sugar
½ c. water ¼ c. vinegar
¾ t. salt 2 T.
cornstarch
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugar, ¼ c. water, vinegar
& salt. Make a paste of cornstarch and remaining ¼ c. water. Add hot mixture,
stirring until thick and clear.

Hamburger -
Rice Hot Dish
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef 3 stalks
celery
1 onion 1
can cr. of Mushroom soup
1 can chicken broth or chicken & rice soup
1-6 oz. box long grain & wild rice
Brown and crumble beef, onion and celery in large skillet.
Add both cans of soup and simmer for 20 minutes on low heat. Meanwhile, prepare
rice according to directions on box. Add cooked rice to beef mixture and simmer
for 20 more minutes on low heat. (Or, bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
in 2 quart casserole.) Yield: 4 servings.
