    A young man from a village called Nawalapitiya married
a young woman from Maliyuwa, a nearby village. They lived with the man’s big

Yesterday I went to buy a gift for Father because her birthday    
    was coming. That I bought for him was a book about how to        
    keep health. The subway train taking me home was crowded,      
    and I was lucky to get a seat. I sat there quietly imagining Father’s

    train stopped at a station and an old lady with two large suitcase
